Instructional Vision
Creating a Vision
Each summer, as a leadership team, we create a vision for the upcoming school year. During the previous summer, we decided to revise Muchin’s mission statement to better encompass our collective vision as a leadership team and to reflect our evolving practices.
Then, the Instructional Leadership Team crafted an instructional vision that was in service of our schoolwide mission but gave instructional staff more manageable and tangible ways to live out that mission. It was critical for our leadership team to be in alignment when it came to our collective vision. Therefore, the language we used to craft both statements was intentional and precise.

Muchin College Prep’s Schoolwide Vision
This document outlines the school wide mission and vision for Muchin College Prep. These metrics, in conjunction with qualitative data, allow me to determine whether we are delivering the promises of our mission statement to our students and their families.
Both quantitative and qualitative are critical in the analysis of our school's progress towards our goals as numbers can tell a singular story when we know that our students' worth is more than a number and is comprised of their experiences as well.
Muchin College Prep’s Instructional Vision - SY23
The Instructional Vision, pictured on the right, sets the level of excellence expected in every class at Muchin College Prep. The three levers (Culturally Responsive & Sustaining , Inclusive, and Rigorous) are the measures for what excellent teaching, learning, and curriculum look like in a classroom. Teachers are given feedback through the "Look-fors" document on Page 2.
Revisiting our Vision
Each quarter, the leadership team revisits our vision and assesses schoolwide and individual progress towards our goals. Based on where we land in our assessment, we either revise our goals or continue to progress towards them. The vision and goals as well as quarterly data is shared with our staff and we work collectively to accomplish our goals.
